OUR UNDER-SHEPHERD

Apostle Debbie Gibson

Senior Pastor

Apostle Debbie Gibson began her Christian journey October 1987 and has been on fire for Christ ever since. She has one biological adult son but has raised five others and she is the proud G-Ma of two beautiful granddaughters and one handsome grandson. She has a host of nieces, nephews and other sons and daughters. She takes joy in empowering mighty women and men of God to propel them into their destiny. Her evangelical journey started under the tutelage of Bishop Sherwood Carthen which led her to a radio ministry. Bishop Cathen pushed her and encouraged her to be the best woman of God that She could be, he encouraged her to stop running from the call and say Yes. One of the things that he taught her was though pastoring is dominated by men, to preach the word and never lose my femininity. Our Pastor was then ordained an evangelist September 24, 2006, by Dr. Jerome McGee.

Pastor Gibson finally said yes to the call to pastor August 2013 and became the Senior Pastor of Angels of Mercy. Pastor Debbie has been the President of Bible study, at New Life COGIC under Pastor Doyle.  President of missions through the years, thousands of homeless have been fed through Angels of Mercy, she drove the Showers of Blessings church van for several years picking up food from local stores and delivering without fail to needy families in the Sacramento area under the leadership of Pastor Darnell Thomas. She has helped numerous women and also served as President over the women’s Department at VRC.

Pastor Debbie was given an award from the Department of Motor Vehicles for her Humanitarian service. She was also given an award by The Seventh Day Adventist Church for her work in the community. But the greatest award she says is the one that she will see when she sees The Lord of Lords and King of Kings. Angels of Mercy is a name that her late mother, Prophetess Marie Gibson gave to her and her baby sister Gina in 1987 when they started with 50 dinners.

In 2013 through a prophetic word House of Deliverance was given and that’s how the name Angels of Mercy House of Deliverance was birthed. Because truly she loves people but will take a demon out in the name of Jesus before it can say a word. She loves to fast and pray and is always pushing the Kingdom Citizens to Represent Christ reminding us that we have been instructed in Mark 16 to cast out demons. And lay hands on the sick and they shall recover if you believe.
